I fall in love with you
I'm never feeling blue
When I see you before my eyes

I cry when we're apart
And feel pain in my heart
When I know you're so far away

Cheryl
My heart sings
When I hear the mention of your name
Cheryl
Everyday, it's the same

[Musical Verse]

Cheryl
My heart sings
When I hear the mention of your name
Cheryl
Everyday, it's the same

Please, come back home to me
My darling, can't you see
I need you today and evermore

Cheryl
My heart sings
When I hear the mention of your name

Charity (1964 - Age 17)

Written by Michael Woodhead

I can’t accept you, Charity
You're not the type for me
Cause other girls have loved me more
To tell the truth, I'm sore

I can't accept you, Charity
Your tears are not for me
Cause other girls have said that they
Can love me more each day

My poor heart has broke in two
I've lost my love for you
I can't have you, Charity
Your heart can't stay with me

I can't accept you, Charity
My heart has let me be
Although the years have passed me by
I still begin to cry

Chariots From Heaven (1971 - Age 24)

Written by Michael Woodhead
Copyright 1971,2023

Look, above you
In the sky, blue
Starships fly
Ever high
Chariots from heaven
Number six times seven
We are come, we are come

Hold your hands up
Fill the gold cup
With your wares
And your fares
Chariots from heaven
Seven times eleven
Ever grow, ever grow

Bow before them
Do not condemn
All you see
In front of me
Chariots from heaven
One times sixty-seven
Number more, number more

Give your life to
All they give you
For your good
For you should
Chariots from heaven
Starships One to Seven
Are your friends, are your friends

Chaos and Confusion (1968 - Age 21)

Written by Michael Woodhead
Copyright ©1968,2023

Chaos and confusion
Linger in profusion
Every man is running
For to hide his soul
Some will disillusion
Lost in some delusion
Mirrored forever
In his aureole

Chaos and confusion
Bring to need transfusion
Bleeding souls who want to hide
Within their auric sheathes
Some come to conclusions
Lost in seclusions
Making their lives free
From the flowered wreathes

Chaos and confusion
Cause some intrusion
Into the lives of many
Who were unknown men
Perfect illusion
Lost in self-delusion
Opening their inward hearts

To the great Amen

Celestial city, your stars are bright
Celestial city, they give me light
Sons are wedding daughters fair
Celestial city, I must live there

Celestial city, I seek a wife
Celestial city, you are my life
Time is fleeting, leaving me
Celestial city, my eyes can't see

Celestial city, I've found a mate
Celestial city, my love she'll sate
Sons she'll bear me, daughters, too
Celestial city, as we live in you

Celestial city, we're coming in
Celestial city, walls so crystalline
I fly beyond the farthest stars
Celestial city, my morning star

Cause I Love Her (1966 - Age 19)

Written by Michael Woodhead

I see the stars above
O how they shine
I want to tell my love
That she is mine
Cause I love her

I see the Milky Way
It beckons to me
I want to go away
Bring her, you see
Cause I love her

I want to go out to the stars
It's not too far
Can you hear me

My heart leaps out to her
But here I stay
No longer can I woo
My love today
Cause I love her

Cast a Shadow On the Wall (1971/72-Age 24)

Written, Composed
Arranged & Performed
by Michael Woodhead
Copyright 1971/72,2021

I send a greeting to you all
Invite you to the banquet hall
I glance at all the things that crawl
And cast a shadow on the wall
I recall the times I spent
Holding you within my arms
Your love I know I can recall
As I cast a shadow on the wall

I dream about the waterfall
Where you and I would swim, then sprawl
Upon the beach's sand sea-wall
And watch the whipping of the squall
I remember lonely years
Wanting you and all your charms
I send a greeting with this call
And cast a shadow on the wall

I hold your letter with its scrawl
And glance upon your ragged shawl
I miss you, dear--my all-in-all
Your leaving I wish I could forestall
I regret my leaving, too
And I feel this new alarm
I send a greeting there with Paul
As I cast a shadow on the wall

Captives of the Flame (1970 - Age 23)

Written, Composed
Arranged & Performed
by Michael Woodhead
Copyright ©1970,2021

I know it seems a shame
To discredit all our fame
You know we're not to blame
We are the captives of the flame

And though they still proclaim
That it all was such a game
You know they can't explain
Why we're the captives of the flame

Though everyday people see
That we would like to be free
Still they only give apologies
To everyone we displease

And now you know they claim
That our visions overcame
That's why we all became
The captives of the flame

Though everyday people see
That we would like to be free
Still they only give apologies
To everyone we displease

Broken Idols (1970 - Age 23)

Written by Michael Woodhead
Copyright  1970, 2023

Broken idols on the ground
Prove that, once, there did abound
Many races, many creeds
To which all would soon take heed
Broken idols mean to me
Sunken cities in the sea

Broken idols are the proof
People who once stood aloof
From the aching pains of Man
As his life on Earth began
Broken idols of the gods
Leave their traces, rather odd

Broken idols mean that life
Once was born as man and wife
Came together into one
Children of the morning sun
Broken idols stand amid
Every secret pyramid

Broken idols on the grass
Prove that once there was a mass
People from another world
Man and wo-man, boy and girl
Broken idols, since our birth
Proof of life beyond the Earth

Bringing the Soul Back Home

Writing in the New Consciousness

Katya Williamson
O Books
2009
ISBN: 978-1-84694-202-0
writing, new age

Although not unsuited for individual writers, the author suggests the book would be better suited for group study.

And although the material presented has been gleaned from women’s workshops, certainly it will benefit any writer who wishes to “write from the source within you”, as Katya posits.

The form of writing advocated by Katya seems quite similar to one with which I’m familiar—W O Mitchell’s ‘free fall’ method, whereby one writes without editing, replying on the senses and
memories.

In fact, the two rules that Katya points out are these: don’t make excuses for what you write, and don’t judge what you write. The editing part comes later.

Going beyond writing about what you know, Katya suggests discovering and writing about that which you’re passionate, “that which you really love”.

The book contains three main sections, first centering on the writer herself, then her environment, and lastly, writing for the ‘higher self’.

Each section contains a plethora of exercises designed to develop each of these areas in the
writer’s life.

In the addendum are fifty-seven pages of sample writings from women who attended some of Katya’s workshops. There, the reader will find some interesting, sometimes poignant, enlightening, humourous, but indeed, very personal observations and thoughts.

Katya gives a lot of good advice, and I leave you with this one perceptive quote—“…writing is an imprint. Realize that you may never know who will be affected by yours, or when they will
read your work, but once you have put it out there into the world, others will be impacted by it. It may be in a few years or in a few decades: you will never know. That’s one of the special parts of becoming the writer that you are.”

Bridge Of Life (1966 - Age 19)

Written by Michael Woodhead
Copyright ©1966,2023

Come away, let your mind go free
There are many things to see
Everyday, there's something new
I've been watching all things, too
Come away, far away
Let your mind go free
And walk upon the bridge of Life

I can say that you will see
Come away, let your mind go free
Each day arrives, the sun comes up
And, with you, I wish to sup

Can you hear the birds above
That are telling of our love
They can see sweet Nature's brow
They can tell us who and how
Come away, far away
Let your mind go free
And walk upon the bridge of Life

Book Of Roses

Andreas Vollenweider
Sony
1992

Andreas' electroacoustic harp gives an almost pop music feel to many of the compositions on this unique disc.

A creaking door at the very beginning opens to a world of wonderful, upbeat pieces that give a unique quality to harp music with touches of Celtic, Mediterranean, and African coloring.

Each of Andreas' recordings has a theme, or endeavors to tell a beautiful and enthralling musical story.

Book of Roses is a recording that has both, presenting four 'chapters', each with different musical 'episodes'.

Fun, eclectic, Book of Roses is a veritable dance of music.

TRACK LIST:
1. La Strega (Her Journey To The Grand Ball)
2. The Grand Ball Of The Duljas
3. Morning At Boma Park
4. Five Curtains

Blue Flames (1971 - Age 24)

Written, Composed
Arranged & Performed
by Michael Woodhead

Galactic Ballads
(Age 24)

Blue flames of a cosmic sun
Scorch the skies of all the worlds
As they pass them by in their wanderings
Making lands explode, loud bells to ring
Through the heavens and the Universe
As if they are struck by some malevolent curse
M-mm

Blue flames of a cosmic sun
Crackle through the worlds of Man
As they pass them by, they will call to them
Making children sing and follow them
Through the heavens and the Galaxy
As if they are swimming through Life's endless sea
M-mm

Blue flames of a cosmic sun
Pass through Time and pass through Space
As they pass them by, they can hear men cry
Knowing nothing, always asking why
As the heavens and the starry sky
Cast them out, unheedful of their mournful cry
M-mm

Blue flames of a cosmic sun
Flare up and burn the skies
As they pass them by in their wanderings
Causing chimes to sound, loud bells to ring
As the heavens and Infinity
Stretch out as far as the naked eye can see
M-mm

Written by Michael Woodhead

(Age 18)

Hold out your hands and receive your people
Black Virgin
The colour of your skin don't make no difference
Black Virgin
You are the one they want to hear
You are the woman they hold so dear
No use denying—it's what you need
Black Virgin

Who's to say what's right or wrong
Black Virgin
No one denies truth's where you find it
Black Virgin
You are the one they long to kiss
You are the woman that they have missed
Take up your role, no other choice
Black Virgin

Black and White and Blue

Dave Thompson
ECW Press
2007
ISBN:   978-1-55822-791-8
filmmaking, adult films, film history, stag films

This book is an intriguing, well thought out, and excellent history of the stag film, from Victorian times to the late 1970s.

Pornography has been with us for hundreds, perhaps thousands, of years. Acts of sexuality—softcore, hardcore, and the outright perverse—are visible not only on the walls of the ancient Roman Empire, but also in sketches, drawings, and paintings done by various artists from countries all over the world.

It’s not surprising, then, that as soon as still cameras and movie cameras became accessible to the general public, they were immediately appropriated for the creation of erotic and pornographic photographs and films.

As the book points out, in the beginning many of the movies were ‘made to order’, and production was pretty much worldwide even by the early 1900s.

From these individual viewings, stag films gradually became fare for ‘road shows’, the movies being taken from one town to another, thus gradually building up a willing, hungry audience—predominantly male—demanding more and more.

Thus, the adult motion picture industry began to evolve.

Such movies, however, were not without legal repercussions, and the book goes into the first prohibitions on stag films.

Going on, the author introduces us to various directors, actors, and actresses, and in particular, describes many of the films that were made during the years.

In the end, with the appearance of the motion picture, Deep Throat, and its ‘acceptance’ by the general public—making it the most successful film ever made—stag films, for the most part, gradually disappeared. What was once watched in secret cinemas, back rooms, and peep shows had now been brought out into the open where it became accessible to everyone, and not just to ‘dirty old men’.

A selection of photographs has been included in the middle of the book, and as chapter headers. However, created like strips of 35mm film, they’re just enough to ‘titillate’ like the peep shows.

Birth Of The Rising Son (1971 - Age 24)

Written by Michael Woodhead
Copyright ©1971, 2025

The time is near
For the birth of the rising Son
When everything on Earth will be as One
Love will conquer all
The short become the tall
And it’s over, it’s over
The land will reform and change anew
The sea will deform and cover you
And it’s over, it’s over

The time is near
For the birth of the rising Son
When everything on Earth will be as One
Hate will disappear
Love will reappear
And it’s over, it’s over
The skies will turn to pink, the sea to green
More lands will sink, and others will be seen
And it’s over, it’s over
